TYR Receives Mace Of Authority
The president of AMLSN, Alj. Toyosi Raheem on saturday, 12th
December received the mace of authority from his predecessor
in a well attended ENEC meeting /Investiture in Abuja.
The event marked another masterstroke in political engineering
of AMLSN, the searchlight of health who has etched its presence
permanently on the consciousness of health administrators, policy
makers and the general public.

Dr. Cashmir Ifeanyi And Others Moves To Stop Investiture
A contestant and loser in the last AMLSN election, Dr. Cashmir Ifeanyi over the
weekend in league with other supporters obtained a fake court
order to stop the investiture of the new executives citing
the need to preserve the constitution.
The group circulated various text messages to members to stay
away from the event.  However, the threat was widely ignored
as delegates filled the hall to capacity to watch live, the
transfer of authority to their new leaders.


JOHESU/FG Meets In Abuja For Truce
The Joint Health Sector Unions and the Federal
Government of Nigeria meets in Abuja on monday, December
15th to reappraise progress made so far on negotiations
with the unions who had been on strike since November 12.
Hope is high that expected circulars must be released in
a desperate attemp to make the workers return to work.

NLC Threatens Solidarity Strike With JOHESU
Pissed off at the non challance of government officials especially
the health authorities and the presidency on the on going strike,
the Nigerian Labour Congress has taken a swipe at government
while calling on her to attend to JOHESU's demands.  
Otherwise, the congress has threatened a symphathy strike
so as to force government to do the needful.

'This Health Bill Makes Sense'-Chinasa Pete
An elated forumite, Chinasa Pete over the weekend has
expressed qualified optimism on the signed health bill
as it affects the Medical Laboratory Science profession
in Nigeria. This is particularly hearwarming for the young
ones who had wondered what hope the bill holds for their
future.
