Emeribe On The Path To Second Tenure
The Secretary Registrar of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria, Prof. 'Tony Emeribe is
on the verge of securing the nod for another term in office as the CEO of the regulatory body.  Insinuations has been rife that the board may not
re-appoint the indefatigable executive whose landmark achievement in office has opened a new vitsa in the annals of medical laboratory science and practice in Nigeria, West Africa and the whole world generally.
Information from our ever dependable source reveals a tacit approval for the chief executive to continue in office even after the expiration of his first tenure.  Palpable intrigues and political maneuvering cum power play has been intense on sabotaging his second chance according to the provision of the MLSCN Act, CAP LFN, 2004.

 JOHESU Storms NIC Abuja To Face MDCAN


At the law courts, JOHESU has made a day in court with MDCAN on 10th July but the case has to be adjourned because of
the indisposition of the judge at NIC, Abuja.Case now adjourned to
13th October.

Candidates For AMLSN Posts Jostle For Votes

The political tempo has continued to rise as candidates and their campaign
managers warm up for pre-election campaigns and politicking in the coming Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists election at Ondo State in September.

The ALLMEDLABSCIENTISTS forum will commence the much publicized interview series
come sunday 13th, July, 2014.  Unfolding events suggests that the real battle for the presidency
is between the Dr.  Bassey and Alh. T.Y. Raheem's camp.  But who wins?
 Some interested supporters and forumits has been flyiing the
kite of higher degree (PhD) for Assocaiton of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria (AMSLN) presidency, a point
which has been countered by other commentators who think
performance is the key and not certificate.
Anyway, dateline is still September at sunshine city where the
electorates will decide by their votes in what promises to
be an epoch event.  This is not to take anything away from
other posts been vied for as all candidates has stepped up
political activities to sway the pendulum in their favour.

Post-Graduate College Of Medical Laboratory Science Bill For Public Hearing
Information coming from the hallowed chamber, the house of
representatives reveal that public hearing on the bill
for the Post-Graduate College of Medical Laboratory Science
among others is billed to hold in October.
 One of such bills, the bill for the establishment of the
college of medical laboratory science, Jos, to award degrees
and diplomas is already causing uproar as some interested
parties have sworn to ensure it never sees the light of the
day.  Hope they'll mobilize to be present physically and make
presentations during the hearing proper.

FETHA Abakaliki Shuts Door Against Med. Lab. Interns
The Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State has been accused of shutting the door
against intern medical laboratory scientists for the refusal of the management of the hospital to
advertise position for Medical Laboratory Scientist interns. This has not gone down well with
the young ones who are challenging the leadership of the Association in the State and Chapter to
rise up to the occasion and change the ugly situation.
