Young Medical Laboratory Scientists Express Frustration

'Please Let Us Be' Young MLS Cry Out In Frustration!
To say upcoming and budding medical laboratory scientists are frustrated and
almost regretting being in the profession is being mild.
Going by the horrendous five years training, struggling to get inducted
after graduation, waiting for donkey years in some cases to get placement
for internship and the humiliating entry point in deference to their
graduate colleagues in pharmacy, physiotherapy, radiology and now nursing,
young medical laboratory scientists has started crying out at the top
of their voice that the senior colleagues have not been fair to them
and are making life very hard for them in the profession.
In a recent post by Prince Adekunle Adeyinka at the all medical laboratory
scientists forum, he carpeted some elders in the profession for being complacent
and not supporting young ones who want to make speedy progress.
Further truths were revealed about senior colleagues who are not at
home with the 'huge' amount the young ones collect as interns and 'blocking'
opportunities for intership placement in their centers.
He actually had the support of fellow comrades who thought his post
was timely but some veteral senior colleagues like Adenira Kayode wouldn't
accept such a generalisation.
He reminded the young ones that what they are enjoying today were the
brave effort of some senior colleagues with great vision and academic
accomplishment.
Well, the dye is cast. Where would this exchange of fire end? Unity must still
be the watchward.
