'Now Is The Time For Action'-Obisesan Oluwatuyi Charges Med.Lab. Scientists

'Now Is The Time For Action'-Obisesan Oluwatuyi
Aware that the doctors have evil plans for medical laboratory
scientists which has started unfolding in their effort to be
directors of medical laboratory services, Mr Obisesan Oluwatuyi, the
immediate past P.R.O. of AMLSN has urged members to be ready for the
final push to liberate themselves. According to him, 'The final showdown
of our struggles and plan to crush any of our colleague that will not
be ready to move with us. There is no going back now. Forward ever,
backward never'.

Asiodu, Ajufo Arrested In Asaba For Kidnapping
Not ready to take defeat, the doctors at FMC Asaba
had perfected plans to rope in the chairman and secretary
of AMLSN,FMC Asaba, Mr. Asiodu and Benjamin Ajufo. They
were both arrested on a trumped up charge of kidnapping
the missing medical doctor in that center. But national leadership
of AMLSN wouldn't let that be. They had rallied support and solidarity
efforts to ensure both were released. No intimidation can last long!

'Stop Respecting Doctors'-Ayodele Aaron
Piqued by the incessant disrespect and disdain for medical laboratory
scientists by doctors, Ayodele Aaron has called on MLS to reciprocate
by disregarding medical doctors. According to him,
'we should also project a corresponding response
by not labeling them doctors anymore until they turn over a new leaf'.

Medical Laboratory Scientists In FMC Asaba Scores Another Point
They have been traumatised for standing for their right.
They have refused to be intimidated. They took on the management
of FMC, Asaba and won in the court of law but the powers that be
will not let them be. However, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Following unpleasant episode and at the instance of law enforcement
agents, the management of FMC, Asaba has reinstated the suspended MLS and
and written to withdraw its initial memo that Medical Laboratory Science is under pathologists.
It is now evidently clear that when an oppressed people rise up in
concert to say no to oppression, victory is certain.
