The hitherto quite atmosphere in the laboratory departments of the Federal Medical Center, Abakaliki may soon give way to trouble and chaos as the management of the hospital has dismantled the laboratory services department formerly managed by medical laboratory scientists and replacing the headship with pathologists.
This is the cause of  the instability in the health sector where medical doctors want to head other departments where other professionals hold sway.
