One astonishing revelation at the just concluded AGM was
the exceptional dexterity displayed by the MLSCN CEO, Prof. Emeribe to get the former Nigerian Minister of health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu to donate his one month salary towards the completion of the MLSCN headquarters in Abuja. It was in
that context he recommended that Onyebuchi Chukwu be honoured.  Curiously however, he never acknowledged the contributions of MLS to the project. It should be recalled that a levy of
eight thousand naira was imposed on all MLS for the building.

GMLD Kicks As MLSCN Imposes Outrageous Fees For EQA

Fees to be paid by Institutions providing medical laboratory
services and who will be participating in the External Quality
Assurance program of MLSCN has been declared outrageous.
Majority of members of the Guild seated at the just concluded
conference of AMLSN sharply disagreed with the CEO who made presentation on progress made so far by the Council and issues relating to EQA.

'South East Roads, Death Trap For Mother And Child' AMLSN

The Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria has condemned the spate of bad roads in the South East which constitutes great danger to pregnant women who may need emergency health care. According to the body, it will take longer hours for women having post postpartum haemorrhage to be driven to the next health facility, an automatic death knell
for such unfortunate victims. Government was urged to take drastic steps in addressing this issue.
