Fallout Of Work To Rule-MLS In UCH In Trouble
Some medical laboratory scientists at the University College Hospital, Ibadan are currently facing the heat for their roles in the highly successful work to rule declared by the national body of the Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria, AMLSN.
It was revealed that the management of the hospital has set up a disciplinary committee to try the medical laboratory scientists.
But help has come their way as the matter is currently receiving the attention of the association's president, Dr. G.C. Okara.

Apparently reacting to the virulent attack of the minister of health, Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu
who told other health professionals to shun politics and unionism, a distinguished medical laboratory
scientist, Ayodel Aaron has charged the minister to direct his address to the medical doctors
who are the real culprits on the subject matter. Medical doctors has been accused of being responsible
for the instability of the health sector in Nigeria of which the minister cannot exonerate himself.

Ambrose Alli University Releases Advert For MSc
The Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, has released the advertisement for
the Masters degree programmes in medical laboratory science.
The programme covers haematology, microbiology, immunology, chemical pathology
and histopathology.
Interested candidates has been enjoined to obtain the form before the closing date sometime in
February 2012.

Medical laboratory scientists has been charged to participate in branch activities for
in order to be well informed about happenings in the profession.
He submitted that the Internet should not be seen as the medium for activism and only source
